Four Easy Ways to Get Involved with the Davis County Democrats

Whether you’re a lifelong Democrat, newly registered, or just curious about what we’re up to, getting involved with the Davis County Democratic Party is easier than you might think. We’re a community of neighbors who care deeply about showing up, speaking up, and making a positive difference right here at home.

If you’re looking for a way to plug in, here are three great places to start:

1. Show Up to Our Monthly Meetings

One of the simplest (and most meaningful) ways to get involved is just by showing up. We host two regular monthly meetings—and everyone is welcome.

  • Davis Dem Breakfast

Come grab breakfast with fellow Democrats and talk local politics in a relaxed, informal setting. We meet at Star Cafe on the second Saturday of each month. This is a great way to connect with people, share ideas, and get a sense of what’s going on in Davis County.

  • County Central Committee Meeting

Our more formal party business happens during the County Central Committee meeting, held on the last Tuesday of every month. This is where we coordinate upcoming events, hear updates from local districts, and get organized for the work ahead. You don’t have to be on a committee to attend—it’s open to anyone who’s interested in learning more.

2. Volunteer at Events, Protests, and Campaigns

We’re always looking for extra hands to help out—from canvassing for candidates and registering new voters, to tabling at community events and showing up for local actions. You don’t need any experience, and we’ll give you all the materials and support you need to feel confident.

Volunteering is a great way to meet people who care about similar issues, and you’ll be doing real, visible work that strengthens our local presence. Whether you have an hour a month or a whole weekend, your time matters.

If you’d like to get on our volunteer list or learn about upcoming opportunities, just reach out or stop by one of our meetings.

3. Make a Small Monthly Donation

One of the most impactful ways you can support the work we do is through a monthly recurring donation via ActBlue. Even $5 a month makes a big difference. It helps us:

  • Pay for event booths and flyers

  • Support local candidates

  • Get the word out in our communities

  • Keep building long-term infrastructure to make Davis County better for everyone

Recurring donations are especially helpful because they give us a stable foundation to plan from. It’s easy to set up, and you can change or cancel anytime.

4. Let Us Know What’s Happening

Have you heard about an important political event, city council meeting, or local issue that more people should know about? Reach out and let us know.

We want to help spread the word, organize support, and make sure the community has a voice. Whether it’s a school board decision, a town hall, or a state policy update—sharing that information helps us show up where it counts and advocate for a Davis County that works for everyone.

Wrapping Up

There’s no one-size-fits-all way to get involved, and we’re glad to have you however you choose to participate. Whether you’re showing up to breakfast, lending a hand at an event, making a small donation, or flagging important issues in the community, it all helps us stay active and grow.

If you have questions or ideas, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always happy to hear from you.

Hope to see you soon.
